Africa Dyslexia Organisation: Intervention Strategies Workshop

At the 2024 Africa Dyslexia Organisation's workshop on Intervention Strategies for Dyslexia, I had the honor of addressing attendees about the pivotal role teachers play at the intersection of education and business. I urged educators to take the lead by launching their own ventures in education, emphasizing that they already possess the necessary skills. Instead of waiting for entrepreneurs to address the challenges in education, I encouraged teachers to leverage their expertise, shift their mindset from educators to innovators, and become the solution-makers we need.

PAWEN’s Board Readiness Program is committed to elevating African female leaders by positioning them on company boards.
They approached me as the CEO of Happy Ladybird to onboard two female C-suite executives as advisory board members for six months. These 2024 cohort members bring a wealth of experience, poised to significantly enhance Happy Ladybird’s strategic direction. This collaboration not only empowers these leaders but also infuses our board with fresh perspectives and invaluable expertise, driving our mission forward.
Orphanage Food Drive

In my mission to combat poverty and bring hope to vulnerable children, I spearheaded an orphanage food drive that successfully raised millions for children in need. I assembled and led a dynamic core team, including a documentary editor, graphic designer, logistics manager, and grant expert, along with over 10 dedicated volunteers. By leveraging peer-to-peer networks and crowdsourcing, we exceeded our fundraising goals. My role was to build and lead the team, streamline communication, and drive the fundraising strategy to success.
Netherlands Consulate Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)

As a beneficiary of the She Leads Africa Entrepreneurship Program, I was invited to join the Netherlands Consulate Youth Advisory Committee to collaborate on impactful entrepreneurship and employability programs for young Nigerians. During the roundtable, I addressed gaps in the current strategies implemented by partner NGOs and proposed actionable solutions to ensure maximum impact for beneficiaries. Through these discussions, we developed a comprehensive blueprint to address these gaps, which will be adopted and implemented by the Netherlands Consulate Youth Advisory Committee.
She Leads Africa High Growth Coaching Program

The SLA High Growth Coaching Program is a rigorous 3-month initiative designed to empower growth-focused entrepreneurs with the coaching and support they need to scale their businesses. I completed the program as one of the top performers in my cohort, earning the opportunity to pitch live at the closing ceremony. Presenting Happy Ladybird Education to a panel of top business executives, I highlighted our unique value proposition as creative play-based learning advocates. My pitch earned me 4th place in the business pitch competition
Women in Africa-Jamii Femmes Programme

The Women in Africa-Jamii Femmes Programme was a transformative 3-month pan-African business accelerator in partnership with Honoris United Universities and Coca-Cola. During the program, I earned a certificate in 21st-century soft skills, including Behavioral Intelligence, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Design Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Entrepreneurship. I also secured a grant in dollars, which was instrumental in advancing Happy Ladybird Education’s mission to lead creative play-based learning across Africa. This initiative provided a unique opportunity to collaborate with female entrepreneurs from across the continent.
AFRICXNXT Conference

AFRICANXT is Africa's largest tech and innovation event, attracting over 20,000 attendees and focusing on leveraging technology to transform industries across the continent. At this year's AFRICANXT Conference, I convened and moderated a panel titled “Unlocking Africa’s Prosperity Through Creative Play-Based Learning,” featuring thought leaders like Tunde Onakoya, Folawe Omikunle, and Otto Orondaam. With over 300 stakeholders present, we explored how Creative Play-Based Learning (CPL) can nurture essential skills like Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Creativity, vital for driving Africa’s growth and prosperity.
LEAP Leadership Institute WILAN Women in Leadership Advancement Network

The LEAP Leadership Institute, in collaboration with the Women in Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN), offers an 8-week Leadership Accelerator Programme designed to empower young African women aspiring to leadership roles. This hybrid program addresses the leadership gap on the continent through intensive capacity building in business, entrepreneurship, branding, and leadership. As a participant, I completed this rigorous training, guided by industry-leading mentors, equipping me with the critical skills and insights needed to excel in leadership positions across Africa.
